Prior to Spotify, Karen helped turn Slingshot from a startup into the market leader in Australia, forging partnerships with the top tech companies and winning contracts with global brands such as Lion and SEEK. Karen also reinvented CareerOne - a JV between News Corp and Monster - turning a loss-leading business into fast growth, winning BRW's ‘Top 50 Most Innovative Companies’ before selling it off. 

Passionate about the startup ecosystem, Karen sits on the Advisory Council of the Sydney Startup Hub and mentors a number of startups, CEOs and industry bodies. Her commitment to both driving and promoting innovation and disruption has led to Karen being selected as UN ambassador for Women's Entrepreneurship Day, Rare Birds Speaker, nominee for Telstra Woman of the Year, Australian Growth Company Awards, Women's Agenda finalist 2017 and Smart Company Women in Tech 2018.
